Pain on the right side. ?

QUESTION:
Anyone else have this type of pain? It started in my right hip where it has pretty much stayed put. I feel the pain when I have to get up and down and sometimes when I am walking. MSM (and vit.C)doesn't seem to help...in fact the only good that has come out of taking this (about 4 heaping tsp a day) is that my hair is growing like a weed! To get back to the subject, for the past 3 nights the pain has shifted from my hip and now my whole leg hurts. It is only the right leg and it's a throbbing sort of pain. It goes away only when I stand up, but who can sleep standing up? Not that I have been sleeping much anyway with this *&^$% FM. :) Mine(FM) started with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in '91. Oh..The MSM has also helped with my energy level, so that's a plus. No pain relief though. IF anyone else has these symptoms, what did you do for relief?

ANSWER:
I had popped my right shoulder out about 4-5 months ago and it continues to this day to bother me, some days worse then others. It bothers me all day long. I have tryed just about everything I can think of to get the silly thing to stop hurting (it's not a massive pain just a pain) Have you injured your right hip in any way? If not maybe you should see your doctor about it.

I'm waiting for the benny of hair growth, mine is very thin (got it from my mom) and it would be nice to have a little more.

Consider the possibility of bursitis of the hip. That was one of my earliest manifestations of rheumatic disease (I started having pain in the lower back, left side in 1974, I think). In 1983, I had the left trochanteric bursa removed. Now it's grown back, is inflamed once again, and also the right side is doing the same thing. My rheumatologist says hip bursitis is very common with FM. Speak up to your doctor until he injects the area(s) (unless the x-rays show something else instead). This problem is manageable!! (unlike some other FM symptoms I'm having trouble with, such as headaches, etc., etc.)

I get this in my left hip.......had the injections.......even had the nerve electrocuted to kill it as I was going nuts..........just put the pain down to tolerable. Only thing that works for me is to go my chiro (NUCCA) and get my atlas put in and my joints 'broken' loose........

I have been having a similar pain. The Docs say it is sciatica. I bent down to get something out of a lower kitchen cabinet and I heard a "POP". I had a sharp pain which was followed by a deep, dull, achy pain down my whole leg. I have been going to my Chiropractor, but she has been having a family problem (having to cancel appointments) and I haven't been able to get more than a short-term relief.
